Eriskay ponies are among the last surviving remnants of the original native ponies of the Western Isles of Scotland. However they are under threat and are classified as critically endangered by the Rare Breed Survival Trust (RBST).

The Eriskay Pony Society supports members, owners and their ponies throughout the UK and we promote the breed at Equine, Rare Breed and local events as well as encouraging appropriate breeding.

A guide to the dos and don’ts when showing your Eriskay Pony. We run an annual breed show and many local and rare breed shows welcome entries from Eriskay Pony owners.
